The transition is being planned for the 2027–2028 school year. Construction and transition work will continue throughout the 2026–2027 school year, with final preparation and moving activities planned for summer 2027.

The transition involves construction, staffing, transportation, technology, classroom preparation, student support and many other interconnected areas. Organizing the work into phases allows the District to address those needs in the appropriate sequence and communicate confirmed information as it becomes available.

BCSD will use this website as a central public information hub and will continue communicating important updates directly to families and staff through District communication channels.

Contingency planning is part of the transition process. The District will continue monitoring construction and readiness and will communicate any changes that affect the anticipated transition.
